Sonic Rush

Sonic Rush is built for speed, but it still expects sharp timing. You race through bright 2D stages as Sonic or Blaze, hitting ramps, rails, enemies, and jumps in quick succession. The pace is fast even by Sonic standards.

One of the key mechanics is the Tension Gauge, which fills as you perform tricks and keep your movement clean. Once it has enough energy, you can use the Super Boost to tear through parts of the stage at full force. It is a flashy system, but it also gives the game a nice rhythm between control and pure momentum.

If you like platformers that move aggressively and reward confident play, Sonic Rush has a lot going for it. It mixes old-school side-scrolling with a more modern sense of speed, and when a run flows well, it feels great.
