Game Introduction
Sonic the Hedgehog is the classic speed-based platformer that still feels good when the level design clicks and you manage to keep your momentum going. You race through loop-heavy stages, collect rings, avoid hazards, and take on Dr. Eggman along the way. The appeal is not complicated. Going fast is fun, and the game knows it.
This browser version keeps the familiar structure of the original. There is platforming, exploration, and the constant risk of losing your rings in one hit if you get careless. It is old-school, but that is part of why people keep coming back to it.
Gameplay Guide
