Game Introduction
Pitfall is a browser version of the old-school jungle platformer where you guide Pitfall Harry through a maze of hazards in search of 32 treasures. The challenge comes from both survival and route planning. You are working against the clock, and the jungle is full of logs, snakes, scorpions, pits, quicksand, and crocodile-filled swamps.
The game rewards clean movement and quick decisions. Underground tunnels can save time if you use them well, and missing a jump can cost more than a single life if it throws off your whole route. It still feels tough in that old arcade way, which is part of the appeal.
Gameplay Guide
- Arrow Keys: Run left or right and climb ladders
- Spacebar: Jump over hazards
- Jump + Vine: Jump toward a vine to grab it automatically
- Climb: Press Up or Down near a ladder to move between levels
